Stumbled upon your blog a few days ago and I thought I'd leave you a comment to tell you that I've been enjoying your prediction videos a lot, very interesting especially for a simple TV buff like me :)

Have a great day!

This whole non-panel system might really mess up everyone's predictions. I hope it isn't too favorable to shows like "Grey's Anatomy" and "House" and also that it doesn't discount stuff like "Battlestar Galactica," "Rescue Me," and "The Shield." I'm getting less and less confident about both "Damages" and "Dexter," and I think it would be really cool if the lineup was almost completely changed and ended up something like: "Battlestar Galactica," "Lost," "Mad Men," "Rescue Me," "The Shield," and "True Blood." Could that ever happen? I doubt it.

I don't mean to sound too out-there. I enjoyed your analysis. I've seen you posting a lot in the Goldderby forums. I'll be reading your blog from now on. My far more grounded predix are here: http://tvwithabe.com/2009/07/final-emmy-predictions.html

Enjoy the nominations announcement tomorrow! I'm expecting some big surprises!

Thanks Jeff!
great to hear a fellow tv buff has been enjoying the info.

Hey, Abe Fried-Tanzer,
the non-panel system does mess up predictions. Grey's is a worry but I feel it's on the way out with the emmys (popular with the public is not popular with academy, see CSI). House did so well with the panel there is no way it will do better with just popular vote, the best it can hope for is to do just as well. BSG, Rescue Me and Shield will all be hurt by not having the panel though although I would not be shocked if one of them could still sneak in.

I checked out your picks as well and they seem like pretty solid picks on the whole. We'll have to see how we do. Can't wait for nominations now!
